so far, i am leading and manage the smic cd qre/re&fa, there are 4 engineers and 8 ta (technical assistant) working with me, i designed and built the fa lab and re lab from nov. 2006. i trained the freshmen and junior engineers ， we support prs, ca, defect reduction, and wat failure, especially, low yield and reliability case. the main production is power ic/logic/memory/mix signal, so i understand them deeply, such as, i can give some new recipe to stain the pn junction to solve some electrical test failure case. deduce the wat/re/low yield case failure model. monitor process reliability risk, and qualify all process. and co-work with ctm qualify almost product.
other experience:
product engineer ： about 3 years 。 work hard to improve the product yield. analysis the inline data, inline defect, wat data, and eq or process correlation to find the root cause for low yield issue or customer complain , return goods, include electrical characteristic analysis function fail analysis, finally, pfa, figure out the failure model and create the fa report to lead the fab improvement 。
about 1 year to train at2, the assembly fab qre engineer about the quality related, such as the spc system, fmea system, the fa sense, and the line low yield improve methodology. and how to complete a good 8d report for ctm complains.
re&fa engineer and manager ： reliability and qualification is very important and critical for ctm and consumer, i working it over 3 years, take the reliability test, and design the qualification plan, and qualify the process and product, and feedback to ctm, and will take care any ctm complain on reliability, or qualification failure issue, will do fa analysis. find the root cause, to improve reliability quality. co-work with qe to gate the inline big issue, and give 8d report to ctm.
ability:
full knowledge about the ic process and structure is my advantage. for ic product, especially, 0.18um and below process (logic/memory/mix signal) are under understood. that gives me a chance to practice fa and test. i own many skills and experiences on electrical test and function test, and dfa/efa/pfa/re test, and assembly. such as, for fa tools, for efa analysis, emmi/obich,mct/ lc ， mosaid （ for memory failure location identify ） , for the profile check and physical image, sem/fib/tem/ ， and for the element analysis, edx/augur/srp/smis ， for assembly failure analysis , c-sam/x-ray, etc.
for reliability and qualification, be able to design qualification plan, and test, agilent 4156 ， 4072 is process reliability tester, full understand the em/hci/vts/nbti/goi, htol and environment qualification test, and power ic qualification items power cycling and htrb and htgb.
